Prevention and Treatment of Cancer with Zedoary

Cancer is a class of diseases in which a group of cells display uncontrolled growth that are not normal and fast, invasion (intrusion on and destruction of adjacent tissues), and sometimes spread to other locations in the body via lymph or blood. Cancer can grow in all body tissues such as skin cells, liver cells, blood cells, brain cells, stomach cells, intestinal cells, lung cells, and other urinary tract cells.
Cancers are caused by abnormalities in the genetic material of the transformed cells. These abnormalities may be due to the effects of carcinogens, such as tobacco smoke, radiation, chemical or infectious agents (this substance is found in dyes, preservatives, food additives and beverages) and more.
Cancer treatment can be done using modern technology (chemotherapy, radiotherapy) and chemical therapy, with drugs based chemical or a combination of both therapies. In general, these therapies have side effects that make the patient feel uncomfortable and complained of nausea, burning, sensitive nerves do not function to temporarily, disturbed digestion, and hair loss.
The other way is consume materials that proved to inhibit or prevent tumor or cancer growth. These materials are known antitumor promoter. One of the antitumor promoter is curcumin which contained in Curcuma zedoaria or White Turmeric
Chemical constituents of Curcuma zedoaria ROSC. rhizome: curcuminoids (diarilheptanoid), essential oil, polysaccharides and other groups. Diarilheptanoid a known include: curcumin, demetoksicurcumin and bisdemetoksicurcumin.
Essential oil containing: monoterpenes and sesquiterpen.
Monoterpenes in Curcuma zedoaria consists of: hydrocarbon monoterpenes (alpha pinen, D-kamfen), monoterpenes alcohols (D-borneol), monoterpenes ketones (D-kamfer), monoterpenes oxides (sineol).
Sesquiterpenes in Curcuma zedoaria consists of various groups and based on the classification of the research were: bisabolen, elema, germacran, eudesman, guaiane and spironolakton sequiterpene. Other contents include: ethyl-p-methoxycinnamate, 3.7-dimetillindan-5-carboxylic acid
Ethanol extract of Curcuma zedoaria rhizome produce demetoksicurcumin, the active compound  inhibits the activity of cells of human ovarian cancer. 70% ethanol extract of white turmeric showed inhibition in normal cells and sitotoksis on lymphoma cells at a concentration of 0.4 mg / ml. Turmeric ethanol extract also showed inhibition of the mitotic phase in mammalian cells in vitro by inhibiting the formation of chromosome.
To facilitate the people in consuming Curcuma zedoaria, now there are available packaged in a capsule which can be obtained easily.
